Panaji: Lawyer Challengers clinched the Advocates Cricket League (ACL) title with a 45-run victory over Legal Titans at Porvorim.
Opting to bat, Lawyer Challengers recovered from early setbacks to post a competitive 184/4. After losing two quick wickets, skipper Achit steadied the innings alongside Swapnil before launching a counterattack. Achit raced to a 27-ball fifty, striking seven fours and two sixes, and shared a crucial stand with Vrusaj Talaulikar. Talaulikar remained unbeaten on 53 off 34 balls, while Shailesh’s late 27* added impetus. Jeevan (2/28) led the Titans’ bowling.
In reply, Legal Titans never fully recovered from early blows. Despite resistance from Pravin (30) and Kyle (34), a middle-order collapse saw them bowled out for 139 in 19.1 overs. D Shirodkar (3/17) and Shailesh’s (3/29) starred with the ball, with Iftikhar sealing the win.
