Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Marg in Porvorim was transformed into a vibrant, people-first festival space for the seventh edition of NoMoZo which brought families, youth, innovators, artists, and residents of all ages, who immersed themselves in the festival’s diverse zones and activities.

Actor Manoj Bajpayee joined the community, interacted with attendees, and experienced firsthand the vibrant spirit of NoMoZo.

Speaking at the event, minister for tourism, IT, E&C, and printing & stationery, Government of Goa Rohan Khaunte, spoke on how NoMoZo evolved into a people’s movement, and appreciated the organising committee and volunteers of the event for making it so.

Khaunte added that the vision behind service roads, walking pathways, yoga parks, and town squares is deeply rooted in sustainable and inclusive development.

MLA, Saligao Kedar Naik recalled the iconic photograph of Manohar Parrikar riding a bicycle, with Khaunte and said NoMoZo deserve global recognition as it reflect vision, sustainability, and public participation.

Bajpayee who actively participated in the festivities said, “No place or festival becomes great on its own, but it is the people who give it meaning. Goa is special because its people care for it, almost like one cares for a child.”

The Heritage Zone, the IT and Science Zone, Pet Zone and sports enthusiasts and over 100 free stalls provided to local vendors and artisans, engaged over 20, 000 visitors.
