They beat Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Navelim 37-27 in the inter-collegiate men’s final
Taleigao: St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, emerged victorious in the Men’s Handball Inter-Collegiate Championship 2025-26, organised by Goa University at the university grounds, Taleigao.
In the final, St Xavier’s College outclassed Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim, 37-27 to lift the coveted title. The Mapusa outfit had earlier secured a comfortable 16-5 win over Goa Medical College in the semifinals, while Rosary College had defeated VVM’s Shree Damodar College of Commerce & Economics, Margao, 31-20 to reach the final.
Chandrakant Shirodkar of St. Xavier’s College was named the Best Player of the tournament for his outstanding performance.
The presentation ceremony was graced by Sameer Patil, who, along with Balachandra Jadar, presented medals and trophies to the winners and runners-up.
