Sankhali: Urging students to set high goals and work relentlessly towards achieving them, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said success comes only to those who pursue their dreams with determination, perseverance and consistency.
“Merely spending time watching reels on mobile phones will not help you gain knowledge. Instead, students should use technology to learn new skills, enhance their knowledge and work towards achieving their goals,” he said.
Sawant was addressing the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Samraat Student Foundation at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali.
He advised students to remain focused on their studies while giving equal importance to their physical and mental well-being.
Highlighting the state government’s commitment to education, he said Goa has entered a new era of educational development and ensured that no deserving student is deprived of education because of financial constraints.
“Financial assistance is being provided through the Chief Minister’s Scholarship App, while students pursuing higher education outside Goa can avail benefits under the Late Manohar Parrikar Scholarship Scheme,” said Sawant.
He encouraged students to dream big, embrace science, technology, research and innovation, make the best use of emerging opportunities, build strong personalities and contribute towards the vision of Swayampurna Goa and Viksit Bharat.
The Chief Minister felicitated 25 students and achievers who excelled in academics, medicine, sports, arts and other fields. Actor Ajay Purkar was also honoured.
Among those present Samraat Student Foundation president Dharma Chodankar, Samraat Club International president Sandeep Nigalye, Samraat Club State-I president Shashikant Punaji, organising committee chairman Rupesh Thanekar, former state president and director Deepak Narvekar, and other dignitaries.
