Panaji: Libania Cagers, Margao edged DBSA Fatorda 23-19 in overtime to book their place in the boys’ final of the State Sub Junior Basketball Championship 2026 at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim.
After a closely fought regulation period, Libania outscored DBSA 6-2 in overtime. Deshawn led the winners with 11 points, while Aarav Dessai scored 10 for DBSA.
Loyola dominated the other semi-final, blanking Lourdes Basketball Club 43-0. Adriel Rosario starred with 27 points, with Kurt D’Silva adding 10.
In the girls’ semi-finals, DBSA Fatorda overcame The Sunshine Worldwide 28-18, with Eva Mascarenhas scoring 20 points and Jaezel Barreto eight.
St Mary’s GHS completed the final line-up with a 20-0 win over Unplugged Achievers-B. Cheryl Carrasco and Riya Singh contributed six points apiece.
