The Pixels Club in collaboration with the Media and Publicity Committee of Don Bosco College organised an online photography competition which received a response of 120 plus entries from students, faculty members and alumni. Photographs received were later published as an online exhibition titled ‘PixelSense 2.0’ recently to celebrate World Photography Day. The online exhibition was symbolically inaugurated by professor principal of the college Teotone Vaz.
Visual Communication Professional and assistant professor Vibhav Naik, from the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism along with assistant professor Department of Business Administration Valerie Carvalho evaluated all the entries.
Faculty members and students shared picturesque entries on the themes such as ecology, heritage, travel, culture, cuisine and sports in one of the two major categories.
Alumni shared throwback moments from college days to commemorate the silver jubilee year of the college. Zarah Rodrigues, Riya Harikantra, Swanand Kulkarni, Micole D’Souza, Sanika Akalwadi and Raul Fernandes were awarded in student category. Cedric Silveira, Arantxa Rangel and Ashwini Kumar were awarded in the faculty/staff category.
Mario Pimenta and Jeshawn Fernandes received awar in Alumni catgory and Neeke Golatkar, received a special mention The exhibition was organized digitally to promote digital media and sustainable practices.
