They down Baba Franzel Unchi Boys Ribandar in final
Valpoi: Purple Boys, Mandrem, clinched the Sattari Champions Trophy, defeating Baba Franzel Unchi Boys, Ribandar 3-1 on penalties after the final ended 1-1 in regulation time at Narayannagar, Honda.
Baba Franzel Unchi Boys took the lead through Pushkar in the 17th minute, but Purple Boys levelled through Richard in the 75th minute to force a penalty shootout.
Purple Boys held their nerve in the shootout to complete the 3-1 victory and claim the title.
The champions received Rs 1 lakh and a trophy, while runners-up Baba Franzel Unchi Boys were awarded Rs 60,000 and a trophy.
Honda Village Panchayat Sarpanch Shivdas Madkar, the chief guest, presented the prizes.
