AAP senior vice-president Sandesh Telekar Dessai
on Tuesday demanded to know why Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had not arrested officials allegedly involved in the recent corruption scandal in the mutation and partition section of the South Goa Collectorate.
He stated that Sawant oversees the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department but had not filed any cases against those accused.
The issue was brought to light by South Goa advocates, and it took a protest by them for the government to take cognisance of the matter, he stated.
AAP questioned why the government was only threatening action in future cases instead of acting on cases that already existed.
Dessai also sought to know what would happen to the bribes allegedly collected by corrupt officials.
