390 teacher posts in govt primary schools to be filled via GSSC

Panaji: The Directorate of Education has invited applications through the Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC) for filling up the posts of teachers in government primary schools.

A total of 390 posts have been announced – 352 posts in Marathi medium schools and 38 posts in Konkani schools.

For the Marathi medium schools, the 352 posts are allocated as UR–158, ST–42, SC–4, OBC–113 and EWS–35. Of these, 16 posts are reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwD), including eight posts for blindness and low vision and eight posts for locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.

In addition, seven posts are reserved for ex-servicemen and eight posts for meritorious sportsmen/sportspersons.

For Konkani medium schools, 38 posts have been notified, comprising UR–19, OBC–15 and EWS–4. Out of these, eight posts are reserved for persons with benchmark disabilities (PwD), including four posts for blindness and low vision and four posts for locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.

The candidates will have to fill application form through online mode only as available on Commission’s website https://gssc.goa.gov.in

The candidates are instructed to go through syllabus and scheme of examination for the post published on the website of the Commission.

The date of examination will be intimated in due course through the website of the Commission and publication in the local daily.
