12-year-old Zuarinagar boy dies of electrocution

Vasco: In a tragic incident, a 12-year-old boy died of electrocution at his residence at Zuarinagar in Sancoale.

According to Verna police, the incident occurred on Saturday evening as the boy, Mustagahmed Moulasab Suranagi, a native of Haveri, Karnataka, was trying to retrieve a ball from under a refrigerator. He was rushed to the Cansaulim primary health centre where a medical officer declared him dead on arrival.

A case of unnatural death has been registered by the police under Section 194 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.

The dead body is preserved at South Goa District Hospital morgue in Margao. The case is being investigated by police sub-inspector Rajdatt Arsekar.
