Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar will visit Goa on September 2 and 3 to review election preparedness for the upcoming state assembly polls.
The CEC, during the visit, will guide officials on electoral rolls, voting procedures and handling queries, while also holding key meetings with poll officials across 40 constituencies. The Election Commission of India has scheduled a regional conference on ‘ELC and ECINET’ in Goa as part of this visit. Around 500 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are expected to participate in the programme on September 2.
On September 3, the conference will cover all 40 assembly constituencies and is expected to involve around 1,000 participants, including representatives from educational institutions.
The meetings are aimed at strengthening coordination among election officials and ensuring preparedness for the forthcoming electoral exercise.
