KTC commuters will soon be able to purchase bus tickets using QR codes, recharge Smart Transit Cards, check card balances and track buses in real time through a single platform with the launch of Majhe App later
this month.
The application, scheduled to be launched next week, will introduce a fully digital KTC bus booking ecosystem along with a bike taxi booking
service called ‘Pilot’.
The live tracking feature will allow commuters to view bus locations before purchasing tickets and after booking, helping them plan their journeys
more efficiently.
“The platform has entered into a long-term agreement with KTCL to develop a digital transport ecosystem covering the state from Pernem to Canacona,” said GraceFulGoa, the developer of the app. It will be operated by the Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd (KTCL).
The app will also offer a digital bike taxi booking service through which registered pilots will receive ride requests irrespective of their location.
“The platform was developed by Goans with the objective of making daily transport services easier to access,” said Rebekah Lobo, co-founder of Majhe App.
Co-founder Samuel Timothy said the platform aims to bring multiple services together through a single interface and support local businesses.
The company said more than 70 other services will be introduced in phases from July 2026, including food and grocery delivery, medicine delivery, home services, telemedicine consultations, physiotherapy, tutoring and
yoga services.
The company said the platform will partner with neighbourhood businesses rather than operate through centralised warehouses. The application will be available on Android and iOS devices from launch day.
