Seven IAS officers reshuffled; Gadkar, Maralkar get key additional portfolios

The Goa government on Tuesday reshuffled the portfolios of seven IAS officers, assigning additional responsibilities to several key officials.

As per the order, Goan IAS officer Sanjiv Gadkar has been given additional charge of civil supplies and legal metrology, along with protocol, factories and boilers, secretary of the Goa State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, and nodal officer for India Energy Week 2026.

Another Goan officer, Yetindra Maralkar, has been allotted urban development and transport as additional departments, apart from cooperation, printing and stationary, Swachh Bharat Mission (urban), and PM Awas Yojana (urban).

The reshuffle also redefined portfolios of other senior IAS officers. Sarpreet Singh Gill, commissioner and secretary, will now oversee water resources, general administration, information and publicity, social welfare, planning and statistics, commissioner of state taxes, and CEO of the Goa CSR Authority.

Arun Mishra will handle health, women and child development, town and country planning, and environment. Cheshta Yadav will look after tribal welfare, public grievances, ports, river navigation, panchayats, and also serve as Director General of GIPARD.

Asvin Chandru A. will hold charge as secretary to the Chief Minister, along with housing, industries, commerce and trade, CEO of the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board, and CEO of the Entertainment Society of Goa.

Arjun Mohan will serve as secretary to the Governor, while also managing agriculture, rural development, and nodal officer responsibilities for Swachh Bharat Mission (urban) and PM Awas Yojana (urban).
