Shree Vidyadheesh Teerth Swamiji inaugurates Veer Vitthal temple at Partagali Math

Shree VidyadheeshTeerth Swami, the head of the Shree SansthanGokarnPartagaliJeevottam Math, in Canacona, inaugurated the Shree Veer Vitthal templein the newly renovated Math premises on Monday, during the auspicious Makara Lagna and MithunaNavamsa.

Shree VidyadheeshTeerth Swami performed the first ‘madhyana pooja’—midday worship—of the newly installed deity, in the temple, on the occasion.

The Math president Shrinivas Dempo and vice-president R R Kamath were present.

Shree Veer Vitthal, the Math deity will be henceforth worshiped in the newly constructed temple.

The temple can accommodate over 300 devotees, all of whom will be able to seek darshan of the deity without any hindrance.

Later, Shree VidyadheeshTeerth Swami also inaugurated the NutanVaidic Block in the temple premises. 

The Rama DigvijayaRath Yatra, which is currently at Dwarakanath Bhavan in Bengaluru, started its journey towards Anantanagar on November 10. This is part of the 550-year celebrations—SardhaPanchashatamanotsava—of the Math and the Shree Rama Nama JapaAbhiyana.

Meanwhile, preparations have begun for the 550th anniversary celebrations of the Math. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will grace these celebrations on November 28.

The Math was established under Dvaita order of Jagadguru Madhvacharya in the 13th Century.
