The state government
has constituted a tripartite committee – State Level Task Force Committee (SLTFC) to implement the regulatory framework for all the shrimp processing units and pre-processing units within the
state.
The committee will also inspect the reports of the North District Level Task Force Committee (NDLTFC) and South District Level Task Force Committee (SDLTFC).
The committee has
been constituted under the chairmanship of secretary (fisheries).
Additionally, it will review the findings submitted by the district level committees and ensure that there is grievance redressal method in event of any grievance at district level.
The committee will also ensure that all acts and laws as applicable for the state are properly enforced such as Minimum Wages Act, the Labour Act and Rules, Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, Migrant Workers Act & the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Acts, Working Women (Protection, Basic facilities and welfare) Act, etc.
