The Goa State Council of Educational Research and Training (GSCERT) will organise a taluka-wise detailed orientation programme on the National Education Policy (NEP–2020) for Parent-Teachers’ Associations (PTAs), School Management Committees (SMCs) and management members of government and government-aided/unaided primary and high schools.

The programme will commence from Quepem taluka on February 23, and aims to strengthen awareness and understanding of the key provisions, objectives and implementation framework of NEP–2020.

“As parents are vital stakeholders in the educational ecosystem, their active participation is essential for the successful and effective implementation of the Policy at the school level. This initiative aims to build clarity, confidence and collaboration among all stakeholders,” said GSCERT.

Parents and management members will have the opportunity to directly interact with policymakers and senior officials. This interactive platform will enable open dialogue, clarification of doubts and constructive feedback.

Senior officials from GSCERT, the Directorate of Education, Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, and Goa Samagra Shiksha will be part of the programme.
