The Indian senior men’s national team arrived in London on Sunday ahead of their campaign in the Unity Cup 2026, marking the Blue Tigers’ return to British soil for the first time since 2002.
Head coach Khalid Jamil travelled with a 17-member contingent after the
squad assembled in Bengaluru on May 22, a day after the conclusion of the Indian Super League 2025-26 season.
The preparations, however, suffered a setback when Mohun Bagan Super Giant recalled their players from the national camp on May 23, forcing India to depart without them.
Goalkeeper Hrithik Tiwari is expected to
join the squad separately on Monday.
India, ranked 136th in the FIFA rankings, will face Jamaica in the second semi-final on May 27 midnight IST (May 28), while Nigeria take on Zimbabwe in the opening semi-final a day earlier. All matches of the four-nation tournament will be played at The Valley, home of Charlton Athletic FC.
The tournament will conclude on May 30 with the final and third-place play-off.
