Captain Deepraj Gaonkar’s authoritative unbeaten century swung momentum Margao Cricket Club’s way, but Dempo Cricket Club responded with intent to keep the contest finely poised at the end of Day Two in the Goa Premier
Division League.

MCC posted 304 after recovering from 252 for 8, with Deepraj anchoring the innings with 16 fours and a six. Dempo’s Abhinav Tejrana impressed
with 3 for 25.

Dempo, however, showed resilience in their second essay, moving to 61 for 1 in 20 overs to overturn the deficit and edge ahead by 19 runs. Aman Dhooper led the charge with a fluent 33, while Aaditya Kota remained unbeaten on 20, setting up an
intriguing final day.

At the Bandodkar Ground, Salgaocar Cricket Club held the upper hand against Chowgule Sports Club. After taking a 37-run first-innings lead, Salgaocar progressed to 125 for 4 in their second innings, stretching the overall lead to 162. Azaan Thota led the charge with a brisk 64, while Yash Kasavankar earlier picked up three wickets.

Geno Sports Club edged closer to victory against Panjim Gymkhana at the GCA Academy ground. After securing a 165-run lead, Geno declared their second innings at 214 for 9, with Vikas Singh top-scoring with 81. Mohit Redkar claimed five wickets
for Panjim.

Chasing 380, Panjim Gymkhana were 6 without loss at stumps, leaving Geno needing ten wickets on the final day to seal the result.
