Dempo SC defender Jodric Abranches has been selected in the India squad for the upcoming SAFF U-20 C’ship to be held in Maldives, from March 23.
The 17-year-old has been a regular in the national youth set-up and was part of the side that successfully defended the SAFF U-19 Championship title in 2025.
Jodric played a key role in the tournament and converted a penalty during the shootout victory against Bangladesh in the final.
He has progressed through the youth ranks at Dempo Sports Club and his inclusion in the U-20 national team marks another step in his development. The India U-20 team is scheduled to assemble in Bengaluru on March 23 before departing for the Maldives the same day for the regional tournament.
