They overcome VM Salgaocar College of Law in inter-collegiate championship final
Peddem: Goa Medical College, Bambolim produced a composed display to defeat VM Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar 3-1 and win the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Men’s Table Tennis Championship 2026-27 at the SAG Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, Peddem.
Swayam Chodankar gave Salgaocar College an early setback with a 3-1 win over Rajnish Kumar before Aadvik Panandikar levelled the tie with a 3-0 victory against Amogh Bawachikar.
Darin Fernandes restored GMC’s advantage by overcoming Aman Shirgaonkar 3-1. Panandikar then completed the title-winning performance, edging Chodankar 3-2 in a five-game battle. Panandikar was named Best Player of the men’s championship.
GMC had earlier beaten Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Verna 3-0 in the semi-finals, while Salgaocar College overcame Dempo Charities Trust’s Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College of Commerce and Economics, Cujira, 3-2.
A total of 39 men’s teams participated in the three-day championship.
