They outclass Libania Cagers 44-18 in championship final
Panaji : Loyola, Margao produced a commanding display to defeat Libania Cagers, Margao 44-18 and win the boys’ title at the Group Priority State Sub Junior Basketball Championship 2026 at Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim.
Loyola seized control from the opening quarter, taking a 14-7 lead before extending their advantage with a 12-3 second period. They maintained their grip on the final through the second half, winning the third quarter 11-4 and the fourth 7-4.
Adriel Rosario led Loyola’s scoring with 19 points, while Kurt D’Silva added 13. Joshua Cardoso scored eight and Deshawn Cardoso six for Libania.
Rosario was named the Boys’ Final MVP for his match-winning performance.
The championship was organised by Aliens Basketeers in association with the Goa Basketball Association.
