Sanquelim: Oxford CC defeated Banjara Cricket Club by 11 runs to win the All-Goa Under-17 Leather Ball Cricket Tournament at NAPEX Ground, Sanquelim.
Afrid led from the front with an unbeaten 85 as Oxford posted 157/5, with Priyanshu Verma adding 38. Banjara’s bowlers picked up a wicket each.
In chase, Sai Naik struck 72 and Parth Sankpal made 26, guiding Banjara to 130/2 before a late collapse. Usman Ghani claimed two wickets, while Shivam Singh, Afrid and Rumaan Mulam took one each to restrict them to 146/6. Afrid’s all-round effort proved decisive.
