Shree Damodar High School clinched the Salcete Zone title in the Under-14 President’s Cup inter-school cricket tournament with a convincing eight-wicket win over Bhatikar High School at the S.K. Ground, Molcornem.

Opting to bat, Bhatikar High School posted 126 for 3 in 25 overs, riding on fine half-centuries by Ayush Gaonkar and Sanch Naik. Ayush struck 60 off 51 balls with five boundaries and two sixes, while Sanch anchored the innings with a steady 50 off 80 deliveries.

For Shree Damodar, skipper Rumaan Mulam led from the front with the ball, returning figures of 2 for 30 in his five overs, while Affan Shaikh chipped in with a wicket. In reply, Shree Damodar chased down the target comfortably, reaching 129 for 2 in 21.2 overs. Usman Ghani anchored the innings with an unbeaten 67 off 60 balls, hitting eight fours and a six to guide his side home.

Abhiyaan Naik contributed 24 runs, while Rumaan Mulam added 20 to ensure there were no late hiccups. Rehan Khan and Sanch Naik picked up a wicket each for Bhatikar.
