Fatorda: South Goa United Club of Sports & Culture sailed past Salgaocar FC 4-1 in the AIFF Junior League at DBO ground, Fatorda on Thursday.

Salgaocar struck first against the run of play, with Melville Pereira finding the net in the

17th minute to give his side an early advantage. However, South Goa United responded just before the break, as Shennoy Parado levelled proceedings in the 42nd minute to shift the momentum.

The second half belonged entirely to South Goa United. Elsan D’Souza put them ahead five minutes after the restart, finishing clinically to make it 2-1. The pressure continued to mount, and Mangalesh Bannikoppa extended the lead in the 64th minute while Elsan returned to complete his brace in the 74th minute to seal the win.
