St Sebastian Sports Club crushed Assonora United 5-1 in the Candolim Panchayat Cup at the Candolim.
Tushar Dessai set the tone early, heading in Gaurish Bugde’s cross in the 22nd minute before doubling the lead just two minutes later.
Assonora’s woes deepened on the stroke of halftime when Projot Arabekar turned the ball into his own net, handing St Sebastian a 3-0 advantage at the break.
The momentum continued after the restart as Kunal Salgaonkar nodded home in the 47th minute to extend the lead. Three minutes later, Sahil NP added a fifth with a simple finish, capping a dominant spell. Anthony Viegas pulled one back for Assonora United.
