Sunny SC outplay Pedne Cultural SC

Sunny Sports Club outplayed Pedne Cultural and Sports Club by eight wickets in the GCA Division A North Zone match at Panjim Gymkhana on Monday.

After winning the toss and opting to field, Sunny SC bowled out Pedne Cultural and Sports Club for 128 in 35.4 overs. Puranjay Rathore top-scored with 44, while Tanay Kumar made 23 and Sohail Khwaja added 22.

Samarth Rane, Moh Huz and Harshavardhan Bairgond were the pick of the bowlers for Sunny SC, claiming three wickets each.

In reply, Sunny SC chased down the target comfortably, reaching 133 for two in just 15.3 overs. Vikas Shetty led the charge with 40, while Jeevan Chittem scored 35 and Shaantanu Nevagi contributed 31.

Tanay Kumar and Mohit Asolkar picked up a wicket each for Pedne Cultural and Sports Club, but Sunny SC completed the chase with ease to record an eight-wicket victory.

With this victory Sunny SC secured their spot in the final. Samarth Rane was named the player of the match for his impressive performance with the ball.
