Power Panthers Porvorim and Ghumteshwar posted emphatic wins in the Junior Cricket Championship organised by Oxford Cricket Club on Friday.

At SAG Ground, Chicalim, Power Panthers Porvorim defeated Oxford by six wickets. Oxford were bowled out for 112 in 23 overs, with Harsh Nain top-scoring with 33 and Rumaan Mulam adding 23. Nirvan Azgaonkar (3/15) and Sumedh Parab (2/13) led the bowling effort.

Porvorim completed the chase in 16.5 overs, reaching 114 for 4. Sumedh Parab struck 41, Sahil Metri made 34 and Bavesh remained unbeaten on 31. Parab was named Man of the Match.

At Arlem Ground, Ghumteshwar secured a 10-wicket victory over AK Rangers. Rangers managed 131 for 9 in 25 overs, with Sahil Gaonkar scoring 32, while Arnav Naik picked up
2 for 28.

In reply, Rehan Hubali (54 not out) and Sachin Bora (69 not out) guided Ghumteshwar to 134 without loss in 19.1 overs. Bora earned the Man of the Match award.

Meanwhile, In other matches, at SAG Ground, Chicalim, Margao Cricket Club defeated Panjim Challengers by 21 runs after posting 166 for 4, while at Arlem Ground, Dhadsakhal Stars edged past Banjara Cricket Club by three wickets in a closely fought encounter.
