The Museum of Christian Art (MoCA), Old Goa recently hosted a three-day event called ‘May for Music, Mango, and Museum and Marió’ to celebrate International Museum Day 2026.

The festivities began with live performance by the Three Tale Trio. They performed a wide ranging set including a specialised keyboard performance of ‘River Flows in You’ and a saxophone segment, along with a lively sing-along to ‘Sussegado Goa’ by Oscar Castellino, and a cover of Luis Armstrong’s ‘What a Wonderful World’.

The museum also teamed up with The Goan Kitchen, and hosted ‘Mangoes of Goa: A Tasting Experience’, for an outdoor tasting session in the orchards of The Royal Chapel of St. Anthony. Facilitators Revati and Charles Victor shared their knowledge on how these fruits are grown and their importance to Goan identity. Visitors learned about the history and sampled local varieties.

The celebrations also included a ‘Flora Marks: Museum Impressions’ workshop for youngsters, a free guided walkthrough of the museum and a screening of ‘The World of Marió…….Seriously Funny!’ which honoured late cartoonist Marió Miranda.
