Dempo SC eased past South Goa United CSC 2–0 in the AIFF Elite Youth League at Dempo Sports Club Academy ground, Ella, Old Goa on Friday.

Dempo’s Yengkhom Bikram Singh opened the scoring in the 8th minute, giving his side the early lead, before Favio Martins added another in the 25th minute to put Dempo firmly in command, before halftime.

The second half saw a rise in intensity, with Dempo’s Jodric Abranches picking up a
yellow card in the 62nd minute. South Goa United CSC also went into the referee’s book, as Rohit Yesuraju (71’) and Rahul Bangalore (84’) were cautioned late in the game.

In the final minutes, South Goa United pushed hard to find the back of the net, but the
Dempo defense held firm to maintain the cleansheet and seal thier side a 2-0 victory.

Elsewhere, Sesa Football Academy edged Churchill Brothers 1–0 in a encounter, prevailing through a first-half strike.

Taibangjam Lamnganba delivered the decisive moment in the 43rd minute, finishing clinically to give Sesa the lead heading into the break.
