Panaji: Sporting Clube de Goa have appointed AFC ‘A’ License holder Dipankur Sharma as their new head coach as the club looks to build on its Goa Pro League 2025-26 title and push further in I-League 2.
Sharma, who has more than a decade of coaching experience, most recently served as head coach of Chanmari FC in Aizawl, Mizoram, and had earlier guided the club to promotion from I-League 2 to the I-League.
“We are delighted to welcome Dipankur Sharma. He is a coach with a strong work ethic, a clear football philosophy and valuable experience across different levels of the game,” Sporting director Nathan Vaz said.
The Goa-born coach has also worked with Diamond Harbour FC, Kodagu FC, Corbett FC and Reliance Foundation’s Elite Youth Scheme, besides coaching FutAcademy in Mexico City.
“To be given the opportunity to lead a club of this stature is a privilege, but also a responsibility I am determined to repay with hard work, ambition and results,” Sharma said.
