Don Bosco Panjim, GC Quepem, St Xavier’s and Fr Agnel also win
Panaji: Pushpa Parab scored five goals as P G Goa University defeated Shree Damodar College of Commerce and Economics, Margao 5-1 on the second day of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Football Championship for women on Wednesday.
Parab struck in the ninth, 12th, 19th, 29th and 47th minutes, while Piya Gomes scored for Shree Damodar in the 51st minute at Chowgule College Ground.
Don Bosco College of Panjim also registered a 6-0 win over Vidya Prabodhini College, Porvorim. Blessica and Simran Narvekar scored twice each, with Tika Sunar adding one and Vidya Prabodhini conceding an own goal.
Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem thrashed Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Miramar 6-0, with Vaishnavi Satarkar scoring twice.
St Xavier’s College, Mapusa defeated Srinivassa Sinai Dempo College, Cujira 5-1, while Carmel College, Nuvem beat Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College, Pernem 4-0.
Fr Agnel College, Pilar edged Sanquelim 2-1. Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda beat Shree Mallikarjun College 2-1 on a tie-breaker after a 1-1 draw.
