Margao: La-Paz Garden clinched a thrilling one-wicket victory over Iqbal XI in the GCA A Division South Zone final at ODM, MCC, Margao on Tuesday.
Batting first, Iqbal XI were restricted to 122 all out in 31.3 overs, with Sanjay Naik top-scoring with 45 and Saif Ali Karajgi contributing 20. Achit Shigwan lead the bowling for La-Paz Garden claiming 4 for 23, while Hardik (3/15) and Saurin Thakar (3/32) provided strong support through their overs.
In reply, Garden reached 123/9 in 33.5 overs. Jaipal scored 27, Vishwajeet 20, while player of the match Hardik remained unbeaten on 18. Tushar (3/24), Manish (3/21) and Saif (1/17) were the main wicket-takers for Iqbal XI.
