Punjab FC meet Minerva in final

Raia: Defending champions Punjab FC and Minerva Academy booked their spots in the final of the Dream Sports Championship AIFF Junior League after semifinal wins at Raia.

Punjab FC defeated Bengaluru FC 5-2. Kamlesh Chand struck twice while Jasmeet Singh and Ayush Koul added further goals within two minutes of the restart to stretch the lead to 4-0.

Hrishikesh Manavathi pulled two goals back for Bengaluru, including one from the penalty spot, but substitute Bikash Singh finished off the contest in stoppage time.

Earlier, Minerva Academy came from behind to beat Classic Football Academy 5-1.

Minerva’s Haokip netted a brace while  Mahesh, Azam Khan and Fanai scored once in their win. Classic pulled one back  Thoihenba.
