Don Bosco College, Panjim finish runners-up in women’s inter-collegiate
Peddem: Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Navelim emerged champions in the Inter-Collegiate Taekwondo Women’s Championship 2026-27, held at the SAG Multipurpose Indoor Stadium, Peddem, Mapusa.
Rosary College topped the standings, with Don Bosco College,
Panjim finishing runners-up and Government College of Commerce & Economics, Borda taking third place.
Rosary’s Swaroopa Redkar was named the Best Taekwondo Player after winning gold in the up-to-53kg category. Antara Assolkar and Tasmiya Rajabali also secured gold for Rosary in the up-to-57kg and above-73kg categories respectively.
The other gold medallists were Sheikh Iram Imral K. (SS Dempo College, Cujira) in up to 46kg, Aahana Amonkar (JD School of Design, Panjim) in up to 49kg, Nayana Sahu (Don Bosco College, Panjim) in up to 62kg, Avril Rodrigues (Government College, Borda) in up to 67kg and Megan Futardo (Parvatibai Chowgule College) in up to 73kg.
The championship was organised by Goa University on August 20 and 21.
