RSB Dehradun, NCT Delhi win via tiebreakers

Santa Cruz: RSB Dehradun secured a 4-2 win over Bihar Secretariat in a tie-breaker on Day 2 of the All India Civil Services Football Tournament at Santacruz ground.

The match ended 0-0 in regular time, setting up a penalty shootout to decide the winner. RSB Dehradun held their nerve, with Abhishek Kandhari, Manish Maithani, Vijaypal Singh, and Prabhakar Mishra converting their spot-kicks. For Bihar, only Afzal Alam and Ram Lakhan managed to score, leaving Dehradun triumphant.

The result highlighted Dehradun’s composure under pressure and set them up for their next challenge in the tournament.

At Bambolim, NCT Delhi survived a tense encounter to defeat Punjab Secretariat 8-7 in a penalty shootout at Bambolim Athletic Stadium on Day 2 of the All India Civil Services Football Tournament.

The match ended 2-2 in regular time, with Gaurav Deswal and Ayush Goswami scoring for Delhi, while Kulwinder Singh and Surjit Singh netted for Punjab. In the shootout, Delhi held nerve to clinch victory.
