They emerge champions in the men’s and women’s category respectively
Miramar: Wesley Do Rosario and Urvi Surlakar emerged Men’s and Women’s champions respectively at the Priority Gaspar Dias Open All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament held at Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, Miramar, in association with the Goa Table Tennis Association.
Wesley defeated Aaron Farias 4-0 in the men’s final, while Urvi beat Ishita Colaso 3-0 in the women’s title clash.
Aaron overcame Chandan Caro 3-1 to win the Boys U19 title, while Neeza Kamat defeated Ishita 3-1 in the Girls U19 final. Chandan beat Yug Prabhu 3-1 for the Boys U15 crown, with Ishita defeating Aarna Lotlikar 3-0 in the Girls U15 final.
Yug won the Boys U13 title with a 3-0 victory over Kaushik Nair, while Tisha Shaikh defeated Sachi Dessai 3-1 in Girls U13.
Ashank Dalvi edged Aarish Shaikh 3-2 in Boys U11, Anaya Shukla beat Shaurya Dessai 3-1 in Girls U11, Arjun Rane defeated Yajat Keny 3-1 in Boys U9 and Claire George beat Ronisha Sakhardande 3-0 in Girls U9. The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Swapnil Nachinolkar Tanmay Kholkar, Vinesh Pikle, and Sudin Verenkar and Christopher Menezes, among others.
