In a step towards promoting adventure sports, healthy living, and recreational opportunities within the city, Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL) has launched The Smart City Climbing Wall, a modern climbing facility developed in partnership with Adventure Breaks, a climbing and outdoor adventure organisation.
Equipped with state-of-the-art climbing infrastructure, internationally compliant safety systems, and qualified climbing coaches, The Smart City Climbing Wall, which will cater to individuals of all age groups and skill levels, aims to make the sport of climbing more accessible to the people of Goa.
“The facility has been created to provide residents and visitors with access to a structured space for climbing, recreation, and physical activity. It is expected to contribute to greater awareness and participation in the sport,” said chief general manager, IPSCDL, Eduardo J. Pereira.
Initially, the Smart City Climbing Wall, located at Pedestrian Spine, Patto Centre, Panaji will be open to the public every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
It will also be available for student groups, educational institutions, corporate team-building sessions, and birthday parties through prior bookings.
