The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has invited suggestions and objections to proposals seeking to convert 64,232 sqm of land across 18 plots into settlement zones under Section 39A of the TCP Act.
According to the public notice issued by Chief Town Planner (Planning) Vertika Dagur, the proposals cover land parcels in Guirdolim, Candolim, Nachinola, Cortalim, Damocem-Sattari, Morjim, Morambi-O-Pequeno and Aldona.
The affected plots are currently designated primarily as orchard and natural cover zones. Certain parcels also fall under environmentally sensitive or specific-use categories, including no-development slopes, cultivable land within irrigation command areas and a crematorium category.
The largest individual rezoning request involves a 35,410-sq-m parcel in Candolim.
All 18 proposals were cleared by the TCP Board during its meeting on August 28.
Members of the public can submit their suggestions or objections in writing to the Chief Town Planner within 30 days of the notification’s publication in the Official Gazette.
