Panaji: Vasantrao Dempo Higher Secondary School of Arts, Science and Commerce, Cujira, retained the Zone II Inter-Higher Secondary School Girls Table Tennis title after defeating People’s Higher Secondary School, Panaji, 3-1 in the final.
Dempo HSS reached the title clash with a 3-2 victory over Sunshine Worldwide Higher Secondary School in the semifinals, while People’s HSS defeated Don Bosco Higher Secondary School 3-1 to advance.
The team comprised of Gargi Bandodkar, Sanvi Lawande, Aishita Borkar and Riya Gopi.
The team achieved the feat under the guidance of physical education teacher Chetan Kavlekar, who also served as the team’s coach.
