Panaji: Persistent rain washed out the entire third and final day as the Men’s Under-23 Multidays Practice League match between Goa and Gujarat ended in a draw at Gujarat College Cricket Ground A in Ahmedabad on Friday.
Gujarat declared their first innings at 471 for nine in 112.5 overs, with Raj Raghwani scoring 196 and Kavyan Patel contributing 65. Raghwani fell four runs short of a double century.
Goa, in reply, were reduced to 22 for two before captain Aryan Narvekar steadied the innings with a fighting 50 off 79 balls, including six fours and a six.
Goa reached 144 for five in 57 overs at the end of the second day, with Jeevan Chittem unbeaten on 21 and Dishank Prabhu Misquin not out on 14.
The drawn result followed the rain interruption on the final day, after Gujarat had completed their declared total and Goa had reached 144 for five during their reply. No further play was possible.
For Goa, Rahul Vishwakarma and Anuj Yadav claimed three wickets each, while Deep Kasvankar took two.
