Urvi marches into U-12 semifinals

Miramar: Urvi continued her impressive run at the Gaspar Dias Open 2026, advancing to the Girls Under-12 semifinals with a straight-sets win over Anindita at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias courts in Panaji.

She closed out the match 4-3(3), 4-0 to underline her growing presence in the category.

In the other Under-12 semifinal, Gargi produced a dominant display against Maahi to progress.

Gargi also impressed in the Girls Under-16 section, defeating Bhavya 4-1, 4-0 to book her place in the final.

The Boys Under-12 draw featured competitive action, with Kriyansh beating Arsh 6-2 and Kiran 6-3, Ethan recording wins over Seth (6-0) and Ivan (6-3), and Divyaraj getting past Devaansh 6-3.

In the Boys Under-16 category, Shaurya registered back-to-back 6-2 wins over Vidaal at Miramar and Panjim Gymkhana.

Doubles matches produced several clear results. In the Ladies Doubles, Trisha and Anupama defeated Anita and Natalia 6-0, Riya and Unnathi beat Tomoyo and Aastha 6-0, and Tvisha and Bhavya won 6-2 against Nishi and Nidhi. In the Men’s Doubles, Parth and Arnav prevailed 6-1 over Rushil and Shaurya.

Mixed Doubles saw Trisha and Maaz edge Sonicka and Vishwambar 6-4, Riya and Fatha win 6-3 against Tomoyo and Arnav, Eshaan and Anupama claim a 6-1 victory over Poojal and Pankaj, and Paul and Deeksha secure a 6-4 win against Tvisha and Bhavya.
